Responsive design is where your website adapts to the size of screen it has available. This means your website will look great and be functional to visitors, whether they are using a wide-screen desktop computer, tablet, or mobile phone.
Google recommend responsive design as best practice to cater for smart-phones and tablets. It also now prioritises mobile friendly sites when you're searching from a mobile phone.
During development the designs are coded to resize and rearrange fluidly as the screen size shrinks from desktop to mobile.
Due to the many different screen sizes available not all sizes are tested. However, our system provides a best fit for the most popular devices.
The website will be viewable across all devices; however there is a possibility that the design may not look completely perfect on all.
Please note that responsive design is not readily supported in some older browsers (e.g. IE8 and earlier), though we can create separate style sheets where there is a specific requirement. Please speak to your account manager if a quote for older browsers is required.
In some circumstances you may require different content and features to be displayed, where a different experience is required dependent on the viewer's device. This is known as adaptive design; please speak to your account manager if you're interested in this service.
