Cavendish French Redesign Case Study
Cavendish French is an independent designer of contemporary jewellery with stunning collections of sterling silver and stone set pieces. Their passion is to bring a unique design together with quality craftsmanship from across the globe and for 20 years they have built a reputation for uncompromising commitment to quality and value.
Originally, we developed Cavendish French a website capable of dealing with the large product range they offered. They needed the website to deal with retail and wholesale clients, with their different requirements, pricing and postage structures. We met these requirements and created an e-commerce site which alongside on-going digital marketing had performed well over the years.
In 2019 we planned to redesign the website, taking the structure and technology already used and create a fresh and modern design that represented the Cavendish French brand better. We needed to do this with minimal disruption to the current site without effecting SEO.
This included the creation of a new layout for the homepage, including a new larger banner area giving Cavendish French the opportunity to promote their regular special offers. We also prioritised key product areas ensuring that customer journeys were clear. New portals were also added to show featured collections. The styling from the homepage was then carried throughout the site ensuring branding was consistent.
In the 2 month period after the design updates, we saw a 37% increase in revenue and a nearly 20% increase in page views.
