Google Announces ‘Broad Core’ Update

6th Dec 2018

Google announced in April that it has rolled out a ‘broad core algorithm update’, one of many it routinely does over the course of a year, to improve the ranking of “previously under-rewarded pages”.

Google says some sites may notice drops or gains from the latest update, but that there is nothing specific that website managers can do to tweak rankings related to this latest change.

In a statement, Google reiterated that “there is no ‘fix’ for pages that may perform less well, other than to remain focused on building great content”.
