Wacky Races, Messing about on the water all in the aid of local Charity

17th May 2013

It’s time for an ‘It’s a Knockout’ style team building, networking, raising money for charity and probably getting very wet on Saturday 1st June 2013 when Realnet will be taking on 9 other local companies in the Wacky Races obstacle course for the glittering silver prize trophy, as pictured.

A team of six from each company will be battling it out canoeing over Todds Pit on Milton Country Park (just off the A10, junction 33 off the A14 north of Cambridge). The competition will be teams of two per boat kitted up thankfully in life jackets rowing/paddling/frantically thrashing about… from one side of the lake to the other fishing out pre-placed items and going through a tricky slalom before passing the baton, sorry I mean boat, onto the next team of two who will do the same. The team of six that finishes first wins and goes through to the next round etc…

There will be a number of heats and then the final will be contested for the wonderful trophy and company adulation. A day off may be in order for the winners… perhaps?!

The day is in aid of the Arthur Rank Hospice in Cambridge. Our Just Giving Page is now here: http://www.justgiving.com/wacky-races-2013

Please feel free to give as you wish – all pennies and pounds will help this very worthwhile and much needed cause.

There are good facilities for children and a cafe for light refreshments on the park itself

All welcome to come and watch and support, just make sure if you come you bring the sunshine and warm weather with you.

We help all sorts of organisations with their online presence, you could be one of them!
