It’s nearing that time of year when we all reflect on what has been a challenging, exciting and unique period in our lives.
From a business perspective, Covid-19 taught us many things and these past 12 months have been a manifestation of many of those learnings.
At Realnet we learned how to adjust our schedules to suit work-from-home trends, helping our team to become more responsive and flexible no matter where we were working from.
In turn, this helped us not only to service our clients better but also to gain first-hand knowledge and experience of digital tools and services that we used in our office, and pass this knowledge and recommendations on to our clients to implement in the projects we built with them.
In terms of activity, it was business as usual for Realnet. Our diverse range of clients – many new, many existing – built new projects with us this year, or evolved existing projects to their next phase, keeping our team on its toes and pushing boundaries of creativity and digital innovation.
Some of our 2022 projects in brief
Primary Homecare’s team needed a digital platform that promoted their core services including personal care, health and wellbeing support, nursing and therapy, and help with technology. We delivered a bright, image-led solution with prominent calls to action, information entry points and other visual cues to give them the digital presence they were looking for.
From local to international, next on the list of new websites was for the cutting-edge International Glaciological Society (IGS) who are a central digital resource centre and team that promote and conduct research around the globe on snow, ice and glacier environments.
IGS wanted a website that reflected the organisation’s image and also encouraged visitors to sign up for events and symposia – we delivered on that brief with precision, with the website attracting significant interest from the day of launch.
We’ve worked with one of the largest companies in Europe, BASF, to create an exciting new website for their partnership with Cambridge-based Intellisense.io.
From science, to leisure, another major project for us was designing and building the new website and ticketing system for Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach, which managed their ticket sales and check-in process for the vast majority of their visitors in 2023.
Our digital marketing team has also been busier in 2022 than ever before, supporting our clients on various organic, paid media and SEO campaigns to help them grow their businesses.
Finally, an internal project, we recognised the gap in the market for bespoke integrations solutions, especially with e-commerce solutions such as WooCommerce – so great has been the number of requests we’ve received to help with this type of integration that we’ve launched a standalone Realnet website – realnetintegrations.com – to give customers the information they need, and help them find us to develop solutions for them.
As we reflect on a vibrant, challenging and exciting 2022 we’d like to wish all our clients and friends a very happy and safe festive season, and we look forward to helping you drive your businesses forward in 2023.
