GBL design and manufacture display and Point Of Sale products. Having first contracted Realnet as their web agency back in 2009, the time was right for a visual update to their website.

It was decided to continue using the existing website framework, but to bring the styling up to date and incorporate responsive design. The requirements of the business, and GBL’s capabilities, had advanced greatly over the intervening years. As a creative company, it was important for GBL to better demonstrate their design capabilities through making the site more image led. As well as adding content managed banner areas, a gallery section was required with dynamic linking to homepage navigation areas.
The overall style of the website was updated to offer a lighter and more contemporary feel, and viewer journies and navigation were rationalised to increase engagement through exploration of the product imagery. The CMS was also brought up to date, so that pictures in the gallery could take advantage of up to date and automated SEO techniques, as it was recognised that Google image search was an under-utilised source of valuable traffic.
The freshly reskinned site is now viewable across all devices, easier and more favourable for search engines to index, and better reflects GBL’s design capabilities. Take a look for yourself at www.gbl-associates.com and let us know what you think!
