Google Launches New Ad Format on Google Images

11th Mar 2019

Google has announced it is launching a new advertising format on Google Images.

A recent study revealed that Google was the first place US consumers went to when looking for a new brand or product to try. In addition to this, 50% of online shoppers said that images of products inspired them to make purchases and because of this, more people are turning to Google Images.

Following this, Google has decided to invest more in shopping solutions on its Images platform. In addition to the existing Shopping Ads, soon, Shoppable Ads will be available. The new format will enable companies to highlight multiple products available for sale within a sponsored ad on Google Image results.

The new ad format is currently being tested on broad queries such as ‘home office ideas’ and ‘shower tile designs’. Google is looking to roll this out across more categories in the coming months.
