Did you know you have a right to your .uk too? …… For now.
Most UK business currently strive to have a .co.uk domain name, so your web domain is something like www.companyname.co.uk. You can now also have www.companyname.uk.
The new .uk domain is shorter, sharper and puts the emphasis firmly on your website name – exactly where it should be. It is the newest product in the UK Domain Family and is at the forefront of the online revolution, offering an exciting new territory for online pioneers to make their own.
For most of you, the new .uk domain is automatically reserved for you. So if you have a unique .co.uk, .org.uk, .me.uk, .net.uk, .plc.uk or .ltd.uk then your new domain is waiting for you, but only up until 10 June 2019.
If you decide not to register the new .uk equivalent domain before this time it will become available for someone else to register, however your existing domain will of course still be yours for as long as it remains registered to you.
So snap up your .uk domain equivalent now, before someone else (your competition maybe) does.
At Realnet we foresee that the .co.uk domain will still remain valuable for a while yet, although we wouldn’t want to find someone else registering their company as realnet.uk, so we’ve grabbed it now whilst we still can.
Feel free to contact us at Realnet by email or telephone (01223) 550803 and we can register your .uk domain for you. Alternatively you can contact your current domain provider.
