LinkedIn Introduces New Ways to Interact with Posts

Posted on: Mon, 15/04/2019

LinkedIn has announced it is introducing new ways for people to engage with posts by adding four new reactions alongside its current like button. The new reactions include celebrate, love, insightful and curious.

The company has said they are responding to requests from users asking for more ways to engage with content on LinkedIn. Users and companies who post the content also want new ways to gain a better understanding as to why people are liking and interacting with their posts.

When designing the new reactions, LinkedIn has stated it took a thoughtful approach when deciding what to include. The new reactions were centred around the most valuable types of conversation people were having on LinkedIn. They found this out by looking at what people were already talking about and analysed the top words used for comments and the type of posts people shared the most.

LinkedIn has started to roll out the update and it will be available globally over the coming months on the app and desktop versions.
