Google+ shutdown date announced

Posted on: Wed, 06/02/2019

Search engine giant Google announced in December last year that they would be shutting down their consumer-focussed section of Google+ due to lack of interest and uptake.

They recently released further information to remind personal account users, and to specify that 2 April 2019 is the date for final closure.

Within the latest update, they have also given specific information relating to:

  • how to save photos and videos

  • save data for Google+ Community pages

  • G Suite users

  • Developers using Google+ APIs
