Posting through Google My Business turns passive listings into active marketing tool

One of the most effective ways to improve Search visibility is to register your business with Google My Business.

Until now, the free business listing has allowed you to list your address, map details, contact and opening hours information, but Google has just added a great new feature to further increase the value of the listing.

The search engine giant now allows you to post events, products and services directly to Google Search and Maps meaning your business listing is now not just a passive listing, but an active way to market and engage with your audience.

The process is simple – ensure you’ve got a Google My Business listing, and then follow the prompts here to start posting your information.

Once you’ve published a post, it shows up on Search and Maps for 7 days (to ensure the content stays fresh and relevant), with an archive of previous posts which collects under the ‘Posts’ tab.
