As of July 1 2024, Google will completely decommission the old version of Google Analytics, Universal Analytics (UA). All tools and services associated with UA will disappear with it, meaning that UA properties and data will be deleted and will not be recoverable. For some accounts it may take longer and those not immediately deleted will show a banner that they are queued for deletion. This will start to happen on 1st July, with most account gone on or before 8th July.
Google Universal Analytics (UA) has been replaced by Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and, if you have not already done so, you need to complete the migration to GA4 as soon as possible. Google have provided a Setup Assistant button within your existing account to help with the transition.
To switch your view to GA4 instead of UA in Analytics, click on the account name at the top left, next to the Google logo and your other account views will be listed.
