Gallico Systems

Gallico Systems, Haverhill - content marketing

Gallico Systems is a fire safety services provider for commercial, residential and industrial properties throughout East Anglia. Their team of highly qualified, experienced engineers offers services including the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire alarms, fire extinguishers and smoke control systems to a large client base.

The company prides itself on great customer service and has built up many long-term relationships with clients. A lot of their work comes from ‘word of mouth’ and repeat business.

Challenge

This project presented a unique challenge – Gallico Systems’ website was out of date, not promoting the services the company wanted to highlight, not mobile friendly and offering a low rate of enquiry because of these and other SEO-related issues.

The team had secured a grant to build a new website but needed to turn the project around quickly to meet the stipulated deadlines the grant had imposed.

The existing website content was not of sufficient quality or quantity to simply ‘copy and paste’ to the new website, particularly on the service-related pages. This presented a challenge as creating new website content can be time-consuming – time that the team did not have.

Solution

The first part of the solution was to create a project plan that allowed for a quick turnaround of the new website from all aspects, including website design, functionality and content.

Once this plan had been reviewed and signed off by the client, Realnet arranged a conference call interview with the client to extract accurate information to create brand new, high-quality website content for each of the new focus areas (Fire Alarms, Fire Extinguishers and Smoke Control), as well as the home page, about page and contact page.

The content gathering approach followed a simple structure:

  • What does the company offer as its primary / secondary services?
  • What are the specifics of each of these services?
  • How does the company differentiate itself from competitors?
  • What are the features and benefits that should be highlighted?
  • Who are the key players in the company and how do these people set the company apart from competitors?
  • Who is the company’s target audience?
  • What is the company’s ethos, brand approach and tone?
  • Where is the company based and how do customers contact them quickly and easily?
  • What is the key goal of the website?

Additionally, in the new website development process, Realnet’s team drew inspiration from Gallico Systems’ logo for the website design, sourced imagery from leading stock photography suppliers, and developed a full set of page titles and descriptions for immediate implementation on the website to boost SEO from launch.
We also ensured that each page has a clear ‘book a free site survey’ call to action to encourage new business for Gallico Systems from the launch of the new website.

Results

The new website is highly visually appealing, has a clear menu structure that highlights Gallico Systems’ core service areas and encourages visitor enquiries with the numerous calls to action across the website.

The website content is rich in keyword detail, completely up to date and accurate and oriented for effective SEO and search engine ranking. Potential customers are able to get all the information they need for each service in a clear, concise and accessible way, helping to establish Gallico Systems as a market-leader in their field, and building visitor confidence to submit an enquiry.
