Filcris Ltd is the largest stockist and fabricator of recycled plastic wood products in the south of England and has been working with recycled plastics for over 25 years, making it one of the longest established businesses in the industry.
Our relationship with Cambridgeshire-based Filcris has spanned many years, over which Realnet has managed their website, digital marketing and PPC campaigns.
Challenge
The old Filcris ecommerce website was built in a bespoke website platform that was reaching the end of its lifecycle, so it was time to redesign and rebuild to be more contemporary.
The first task was to transfer the product catalogue and customer accounts from the original database to the new WooCommerce system while not disrupting their day-to-day operations.
The website redesign and build needed to incorporate a number of customer-friendly features, including quote requests, clear lead time messaging and sample requests.

The new Filcris ecommerce website is WordPress and WooCommerce based and has been set up to enable:
