Leisuretec is one of Realnet’s longest-standing clients, having been with us for more than a decade. They are a specialist trade distributor of professional and commercial audio, lighting, video, special effects and ancillary, with a vast catalogue of products and a UK-wide client base.
Leisuretec’s website was designed and built by Realnet on our bespoke LeanCMS platform, and has undergone a series of updates, design refreshes, functional integrations including with their Microsoft Dynamics ERP system, and ongoing digital marketing strategies and campaigns.
Leisuretec is focused on B2B sales and needed a website that combined the ability to promote their products and services to new customers, while also providing access to their ecommerce website and giving information such as news and upcoming training events to their existing customer base.
This ‘split purpose’ structure presented a User Experience challenge for Realnet to solve, as new customers wanted a more ‘marketing website’ experience whereas existing clients or those looking to set up an account and make purchases wanted an ecommerce experience.
Following market research conducted by Leisuretec’s in-house marketing department, we worked with them to revise the sitemap and redevelop the website with a new, fresher, mobile-responsive design, and restructured customer journeys to encourage both ‘browse’ and ‘buy’ customers to navigate the site easily.
The new entry points and visual cues created both a brochure-style environment for new customers to understand their markets, partner brands, product range and accompanying services (such as technical training events), and an ecommerce website that showcases the broad range of products available to trade clients (new and existing) and offers customers a great buying experience.
We achieved this whilst maintaining existing ecommerce and integration with their ERP system functionality, which mitigated the need for a complete rebuild and ensured as little disruption to the website as possible.
The Leisuretec ecommerce website attracts new trade customers and enquiries, while ensuring existing customer retention and increasing online sales year on year. Site traffic has grown, as have other key metrics such as visit duration, number of pages visited, increased visitor engagement and other key metrics.
