Accelonix Group

Website design for Accelonix, Chelmsford

Accelonix is a group of companies operating across Western Europe serving the electronics industry with specialist sales and support. Working closely with a portfolio of industry-leading suppliers, Accelonix provides a key interface with their customers while offering market-leading products and services backed up by excellent support to maximise ROI.

With a large product range offering high-end technology, flexibility and scope of expertise to the European electronics market, it is essential that Accelonix can showcase its catalogue effectively.

Challenge

The key challenge was to create a website design to manage a portfolio of hundreds of hi-tec products across a range of applications, including production, inspection, testing, microelectronics and metrology. This product catalogue then needed to underpin the core website goals of:

  • Generating more valid sales-related enquiries.
  • Providing a backup to other sales activity (including a library of product technical data and service information).

In order to generate more sales opportunities, the website also needed to be SEO-ready from launch and provide a platform for future digital marketing activities including ongoing content marketing.

Solution

A key part of this project was the planning phase during which Realnet worked with Accelonix to define a catalogue structure and sitemap that would encompass products and services. The ability to maintain a consistent ‘feel’ through the category and product detail pages was an essential consideration. We needed to ensure that a wide range of product types could be catered for without creating a confusing number of page layouts.

The catalogue allows product selection via application-based categories, grouping by manufacturer and, with the implementation of an advanced search plugin, general technical terms and features.

The new website was built using WordPress as the platform. Although there is no e-commerce (the products and services require consultant-led sales), the WooCommerce plugin was implemented to deliver a robust and flexible product catalogue.

We also included an event listing system to showcase the trade shows that Accelonix take part in around Europe and also a news section to enable further dynamic content.

Result

The website has been built with SEO in mind and has the following features in place to enable dynamic content marketing:

  • Product Catalogue
  • News
  • Events

Following the website design project, a digital marketing package is now planned so that the site is continuously improved for both SEO and CRO (conversion rate optimisation).
