Search Engine Optimisation
With our in-house team of search engine optimisation specialists, we have been consistently achieving excellent results for our clients. From the initial planning stages we design websites with search engines in mind - search engine optimisation cannot simply be 'bolted on' to a site as an afterthought, and be expected to do well.
Working with the Search Engines
Long before Google appeared on the scene a dynamic industry had developed offering Search Engine Optimisation. A growing band of entrepreneurs realised that it was important to be listed high up on the first page of the search results and that this was a valuable service that they could build a business around.
In the early days the Search Engines offered help to web designers to guide them in building websites that the Search Engines could 'understand'.
It was a cosy relationship for a short time until the Search Engine Optimisation world gradually started to divide into two camps – known in the Industry as Black Hats and White Hats.
Black Hats and White Hats
The evolution in the Search Engine Optimisation industry inevitably led to two schools of thought.
The first focused on building sites that were search engine friendly, user friendly and informative. This is the White Hat approach.
The second school chose to look for ingenious technical tricks that would confuse the search engines and push the sites higher. This is the Black Hat approach.
Both approaches work but in fact the White Hat solution requires more effort and creativity to succeed. But the solution is long lasting and requires little maintenance to maintain good rankings.
On the other hand the Black Hat suffers from forever chasing new tricks as the army of engineers at Google (and the other major engines) work to plug the gaps in their algorithms so carefully exploited by the Black Hats.
In the worst-case scenario Google routinely bans Black Hat sites as their tricks are identified. (see news article from the Daily Telegraph of June 27, 2006). Even car giant BMW was recently blacklisted by Google for using 'Black Hat' techniques (BBC News Article).
The White Hat Solution
At Realnet we have always taken a White Hat approach.
We have developed an extensive portfolio of websites that are well positioned near the top of Google listings.
We do it by solid engineering skills coupled with an extensive analysis of the client's requirements before we start.

"The interest in our website gradually grew and then the response became fantastic. Our car sales enquiries came from all parts of the country and, as a result of this, our car sales increased to record-breaking numbers."
