60% to spend more on Search
60% to spend more on Search
by Dr Tony Berg

According to a report by E-consultancy and Neutralize, 60% of UK companies are planning to increase search engine marketing budgets in the next 12 months.
The extra spend is for both paid search and search engine optimisation (SEO).
More than half are spending over £10,000 on paid search.
Google is recognised as the best place to be and to be seen and to generate the best return on investment (ROI).
Over half of the respondents (who measure) report an ROI better than 300% with a quarter getting over 500%.
The majority of SME companies are sitting on the sidelines missing this major growth opportunity.
Tools are now available to monitor and develop the efficiency of a campaign to produce defined results. This has taken the world of online marketing to a level of sophistication that is powering the figures and growth reported.
Sadly, for most companies the website is simply a necessary evil. It is grudgingly built and then neglected. It is seen as a diversion from the main priorities of the business strategy.
The report clearly shows how big an opportunity is being missed.
At Realnet we support a string of companies helping them share in the Internet boom. We offer paid search, SEO management and a full set of analytic tools to back up and develop the full potential of the Internet.
The results speak for themselves in the growth and performance of our client websites.
