Choosing a Web Design Company?
Choosing a Web Design Company?
by Kari Sewell

Are you thinking of revamping your current website? Does your company need more sales leads and conversions? According to the Office of National Statistics at least 7 in 10 UK businesses have a website. But how much is known about choosing a web design company that will help drive profit from the Internet? What should you be looking for?
- Look at the websites that they have built. Are they attractive, clear, easy to use and crucially do they encourage you to make an enquiry or purchase?
- Do they actually understand your business and help you develop a web strategy? Your website should be goal and results driven. They should listen to you, and generate an easy to understand plan that suits your business.
- Are the websites search engine friendly? Adwords or traditional advertising campaigns can be an expensive way of attracting visitors to your website. Being found in Google's search results may not be enough by itself, especially for new websites, but if done well can generate a huge volume of free traffic.
- A good working relationship. You're going to spend a good deal of time communicating with your chosen company so try and get an understanding of the working relationship you might have with them.
Your website is an investment in your business and should always deliver a healthy ROI, so choosing the right web design company is vital. Obtain quotes from 2-3 different companies and don't be afraid to ask questions.

"The interest in our website gradually grew and then the response became fantastic. Our car sales enquiries came from all parts of the country and, as a result of this, our car sales increased to record-breaking numbers."
