Niche Marketing
Niche Marketing
by Dr Tony Berg

The beauty of e-commerce is that buyers are already Surfing the Net looking for sellers.
A tightly defined niche market can be the most efficient way to generate traffic that turns into serious visitors.
More than 700 million people around the world - 15% of those over 15 – are now using the Internet regularly.
Niche traffic in such a large base can represent significant visitor numbers from strategically selected search phrases.
However, you must still help your market find you amongst the billions of web pages competing for attention.
If you know who your customers are and how they think, you can develop a search phrase set that will draw qualified traffic ready to do business with you.
At Realnet we start by brainstorming a search phrase "seed list."
We think in terms of answers to your audience's most burning questions. Answers are what your best (loyal) customers are looking for. And if the answers (solutions) found on your website are not easily found elsewhere your conversion efficiency will be high.
We develop the seed list with plenty of lateral thinking and then run the list of phrases through several online services to estimate the traffic they will draw and the competition they are up against.
And this leads us to a high efficiency set of niche search phrases – lots of traffic and little competition.
The result? Niche marketing, leading to better qualified traffic, resulting in more actual business than from the traditional scatter gun approach.

"The interest in our website gradually grew and then the response became fantastic. Our car sales enquiries came from all parts of the country and, as a result of this, our car sales increased to record-breaking numbers."
